Candidacy for Accreditation
A school seeking affiliation with the Commission on Public Elementary and Middle Schools must complete an Application for Candidacy and related questions form and submit it to the Commission office. The school must have been in operation for at least one complete school year. Once the application has been submitted, the school should contact the Director of the Commission to arrange an appointment for the Director to visit the school.

Decennial Accreditation
Every ten years an accredited school must host a decennial visit. An Application for Accreditation is requested to be completed and returned to the Commission office in order to complete the planning process. Once, the Commission office processes the application you will be notified of the scheduled visiting committee dates. Also, in order for your school to stay on target to begin its self study please contact the Commission Director to arrange a time he/she can visit the school to meet with the principal, faculty, and steering committee.
