About Us

The Commission on Public Elementary and Middle Schools was established in 1987 in response to the needs of school systems to provide an evaluative structure for their elementary and middle schools. Over the past decade, in their desire to develop comprehensive school improvement plans, many schools have committed to the Commission’s threefold accreditation process.
